Thank you for that. I think, on balance, I'll give it a miss - particularly as I'm not passing --auth-ident to spamd :-) Any ideas about the others ? I'm still short on IO::Socket::SSL and IO::Socket::INET6. Do I need those, or will everything else work ? Jonathan
