There are not any updates available yet, the SA devs are working to make this feature available, at this time, everything is still being setup and tested for when this goes live.  The commands are there but the back end isn't entirely ready yet.  Other channels are if / when other rule-writers decide to allow updates through sa-update, for example if SARE wanted to use sa-update we could provide configuration settings to get updates from us.  I'm also thinking the dev's could use this feature to allow different class of rules to be updated, say we have agressive sets and not so agressive sets, all this is speculation as it's not been finalized yet..  Don't quote me I'm just making an educated guess.

Subject: example of using sa-update

Hi!
Can anybody explain in more detail what exactly sa-update does?
I mean how often should I execute sa-update?
I've got a question about "channel" option.

"By default, it will only access ``updates.spamassassin.org'', but more channels can be specified via this option"

which more channels?

Thank you in advance.

Yours faithfully,
    Valery
