Well, where-ever you saw it, it was ill placed advice. You *could* use 10_misc.cf as a template for settings you actually want to over-ride in your local.cf, but don't waste the parser's time by duplicating all of 10_misc.cf. > > Where does this message show up? I didn't see it in UPGRADING or README > or INSTALL -- but I DO remember seeing it. I did a grep -r for "10_misc.cf" on SA 2.64, SA 3.0.4 and SA 3.1.0-rc1. I see lots of spots in Mail::SpamAssassin::Conf which suggest looking at 10_misc.cf for an example of how to do a report, but nothing that would suggest copying and modifying the whole file.
