Choking spamassassin on one email.

I have a email that is 16kb in size
I run SpamAssassin 3.0.4        with a Spamd/Spamc pair
this mail is from one of the watch spammers
it is very small (less than 4kb) except it has a gif image imbedded 
into it.
This gif image is all on one line (no line breaks at 72chars) like 
normal embedded images)

as soon as it spamc sends this email to spamd my CPU goes to 98%
what could be wrong?
What other info do you need?
(I tried to send the message zipped but it was denied.)
