Try grabbing a newer version of Net-DNS and anything it depends on. That
smells awfully familiar to me...
My netdns was the latest, although by running spamd in debug mode showed I
was missing IP::country, and I tacked that in (it was optional).
More interestingly, the system was thrashing quite heavily on swap (700
megs used). It has 512M of ram, but had several locked tables in mysql.
Rebooting cleared the swap. Considering my SQL database is 400+ megs, I
think I need to double the ram in the box if possible, but it's behaving
for right now. This is an athlon 1800 running basically only
spamassassin-type-stuff (local DNS).
It's sad that spamfiltering takes this much resources -- that's a comment
on society and how much of this tripe there is, not on the effectiveness
of SA, tho.
Are there any recommendations on which is better/worse on innodb versus
myISAM?
