An even better question.. why did he try to rescore GTUBE down to 4.0? Although that was slightly screwed up by not puting the rule name in all-caps, GTUBE should always cause a message to be high-scoring spam. That's the whole point of GTUBE. GTUBE detects a really odd-ball test-string which should never be present in normal email, and it's kind of like the EICAR virus-test string, but for spam.
