Ok, but the real key is in the message headers. From the wiki:
The headers checked for whitelist [or blacklist] addresses are as follows: if Resent-From is set, use that; otherwise check all addresses taken from the following set of headers:
~ Envelope-Sender ~ Resent-Sender ~ X-Envelope-From ~ From
So we really need to see if the envelope sender info made it into the headers, which is not guaranteed.
