Yes, I use 1.40. I really don't know if I can use 1.32, because DBD was installed via port dependency. I will try to downgrade port and install 1.32 if this will not break anything.

Which DBD::Pg are you using? I hear there are some typing issues with 1.40. Try 1.32 if you can.
