Which will just up the ante in obfuscating the URL so humans will understand it 
but virus scanners won't.  Consider the possiblities:

http:\\www.example.com (works in Outlook)
www.example.com (works in Outlook)
www.example.c (line break)
om (user will probably put it back together or type the "om")

"Check out this site - example[image that looks like .com]"
