That all said, the only regular RBL I recommend and use widely is sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org. It's probably the safest and it catches a very large portion of true spam. I use it at the MTA level before any SpamAssassin filtering. For ISP use, it may be too inclusive however so use with any RBL with caution and research.
