Yes, you should be using local.cf. Don't edit *anything* in /usr/share. Have you run spamassassin --lint since your upgrade? it's quite possible you still have some syntax errors and if it get's confused enough the parser can end up ignoring your local.cf entirely. I did run spamassassin --lint, ended up uninstalling previous versions, installed 3 from scratch and lint is now happy. I looked for all copies of the config file: /root/.cpan/build/Mail-SpamAssassin-3.0.0/t/log/test_rules_copy/10_misc.cf /root/.cpan/build/Mail-SpamAssassin-3.0.0/rules/10_misc.cf /etc/mail/spamassassin/10_misc.cf /usr/share/spamassassin/10_misc.cf And the only one I am editing is /etc/mail/spamassassin/10_misc.cf I took the one found in /root/.cpan/build/Mail-SpamAssassin-3.0.0/rules/10_misc.cf put it in /etc/mail/spamassassin/10_misc.cf made my custom changes to the report part, restarted SA and still get the wrong message. Any ideas? Thanks
