That message usually means your DB is corrupted.  The value there is a
packed binary, used for the general tokens.  At line 1267, it's looking
at the magic "oldest" token value, which is not packed.  So if you're
seeing a packed value ...

This is possibly due to having the Bayes DB open for more than 10 minutes --
