So on the server, the host is Ubuntu server 12.04 without gui.
I cannot ssh from the host to the vm - ssh [email protected] ssh: Could not resolve hostname ZEG-2.1.1b: Name or service not known or even ping it - ping ZEG-2.1.1b ping: unknown host ZEG-2.1.1bWhat am I missing? Is there some other way I can connect from the host to the vm?

You can login on the terminal of the physical machine (plug in a monitor on that machine). You don't need an ip for that. Or can you tell how the structure is.
