Greetings, ----- Original Message ----- > FYI, the Proxmox 2.6.32 PVE kernels work fine with Debian 8 guests > running systemd.
systemd inside of containers works fine and has for years. Fedora switched to systemd with the release of Fedora 15 in 2011. I'm don't recall exactly when OpenVZ started supporting systemd inside of a container but it has been a while. Another milestone in the systemd-used-inside-of-containers was the release of the CentOS 7 OS Template... and then quite later, Debian 8. Running a container with systemd isn't a problem. Running a 2.6.32-based OpenVZ kernel on the hostnode running systemd is the problem... and one of the things that Virtuozzo 7 addresses.
