Well, I think the difference here is... that the original poster was talking about trying to run the EL6-based OpenVZ kernel on an EL7 host node... that has systemd as the init system of the host node and that having issues. Whereas Kir was talking about running the EL6-based OpenVZ kernel on an EL6-based host node... and running a systemd-based distro inside of a container... in this case CentOS 7.1... which does indeed work fine.
