Rory, I'm not very familiar with sections. Can Michael do Insert > Section after he already has the index in his main document? Or should he do it in the main document before adding the index? In that case, how do you recommend that he add the index? Insert > Text from File? Copy and paste?
Could a similar effect be obtained without a Section, by just starting a new page style? Maybe by doing Insert > More Breaks > Manual Break, and then choosing 'Page break' with a specific page style? I see that an Index page style is offered. (I'm using LibreOffice, so maybe it's different in OpenOffice?) (I apologize for top posting after you bottom posted. I haven't figured out how to bottom post in a reasonable way with this Web interface.) - Robert ________________________________________ From: Rory O'Farrell <ofarr...@iol.ie> Sent: February 12, 2023 11:34 On Sun, 12 Feb 2023 11:04:45 -0500 Michael Rooney <rooneymj...@gmail.com> wrote: > Good morning: > > I am a user of Open Office 4.1.13. Place cursor where you want the Index, then /Insert /Section and set that up with columns as you require. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@openoffice.apache.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@openoffice.apache.org
