you might want to tell people what operating system you are using and
maybe describe what you are doing that subsequently leads to a crash.
so:
(a) are you on Windows? Windows 10 or Windows 11? or some edition of
the Mac? or Linux? which distribution?
(b) what version exactly of OpenOffice are you using? what are
typically you doing when crashes occur? any pattern you detect?
not sure I can help trouble-shooting but no one can help
effectively without more information.
In addition, finding simple functions, like adding page numbers is not at a
intuitive and editing documents is a nightmare; make such a mess of things,
I actually print, edit by hand, and scan back in, so I can complete my
work, adding on needless hours of labor.
not so hard to add page numbers and so on but you gotta fix the
crashes.

So, I guess I will have to go back to the 2 biggest extortionists because
Apache Open Office has is slowed my work flow to a halt.
