Hi Brian

I picked up your name from a mail to other OO users and will be grateful if you are able to assist with my problem.

In Excel you are able to have a number of different spreadsheets open and display them side by side using the Arrange commend which is found on the Windows tab. This enables you to copy and paste data between the sheets with ease. Does OO have a similar feature.

Many thanks
Dave Bridges

I use Open Office Calc 3.4.1 with Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have a very simple one-page spreadsheet, but the software wants to print out this sheet plus a second sheet which is blank. Can some kind person suggest how I can correct this apparently simple but very pesky problem?

Possibly not: you have the evidence in front of you but anyone
reading your message doesn't. It becomes something of a guessing game.

Surely the fact has to be that you have something - but we cannot
tell what - beyond the range of cells that you intend to use and
print. Possibilities are:
o cells containing blank strings - as distinct from genuinely empty cells
o cells formatted to show contents in the same colour as the
background - and therefore not show them
o cells containing formulae - even if these evaluate to a null string
o non-empty cells in hidden rows or columns

You will be able to identify the rows or columns that are being
included inappropriately in the default print range. If you delete
those rows or columns (so that they are replaced by genuinely empty
ones), won't the problem go away?

I trust this helps.
