Download it from SourceForge, and ONLY from sourceforge. Don’t click on any “Download” buttons; your download will begin automatically. When the d/l is complete..install it and run it. Copy it as many times as you like and distribute it to friends and colleagues.
The cost will depend on how much you charge per hour for your work, how much your electricity costs, and how much your ISP charges for data. Seriously, it’s free. There are no charges for the software. So don’t pay anyone. I apologize if this sounds patronizing, but there are crooks in this world who offer open source software like OpenOffice, load it with their crapware, and then sell it. If you follow the instructions above, you won’t have that problem. I’m not noted for my pedagogy, so if the instructions aren’t clear enough, ask again here.
