We don't know the root cause of these notices. What we do know is,
1. Your receiving the notice indicates that, if there is a problem, you don't have it now. 2. You can check the list archive to see if you are actually missed any messages, and see what they are. I've come to believe that, at least some of the time, the message itself is a bit bogus.
