Experiment with Edit | Paste Special ... and see if one of the available
variations honors the formatting already specified for the cell.

Subject: Pasting from a web page

Hello,

I have a calc .xls sheet that I use to keep track of my investments. I copy the
amounts from my banks web site and paste it into the cells. My preferred font
is Arial - 14, however - when I paste the data into the cells, the font changes
to Times New Roman - 10.
I've checked the Tools / options / font and even set up what appears to be a
replacement table to replace Times New Roman with Areal. In spite of setting
this up, when I paste the data, it remains Times new Roman. I have to manually
change it to Arial 14.
I'd like whatever data I paste into the cells to remain Arial 14 - preferably
centered in the cell.

Is this possible?

Thanks - Steve
