While I can relate to Jim's commentary (been there, done that, too many
times for my own good), I have to agree with the essence of Jeffrey's
message.

As a list moderator, I would appeal all list subscribers to please
ignore the "unsubscribe me" (polite or otherwise) messages/spamming and
leave it to the list moderators to assist those who may not be familiar
with, or overlook information about, mailing list procedures.

Amongst other benefits, this serves to:

    1. Reduce the amount of unnecessary list noise, which helps to make
the list archives more useful to folks searching for answers.

    2. Give the individual wanting to unsubscribe a feeling of
"personal" attention to their perceived plight.

In the same way as I have done for others wanting to unsubscribe, I sent
Dennis a detailed off-list message of assistance.

Thanks & Regards
Dave
