This isn't the first time I've gotten a msg like this. Why does this
happen?

Since several other users reported the issue, and since we had a similar discussion on the l10n list http://markmail.org/message/bg2pvmp6l3nwm7lh , there are a few checks I would ask to those who are having this issue (the easy solution, as already mentioned, is that a spam filter is blocking some messages; but it's not the only one).

The message Maurice forwarded contains a list of missed messages from the list:

Here are the message numbers:
    8297
    8298
    8300 [...]

Maurice, can you check if you received them? If you e-mail
users-get.8297_8...@openoffice.apache.org
you will receive back all messages between 8297 and 8300, including the three listed above. It would be important (if you don't delete messages) to know whether you actually received the "missed" messages (and thus we have a false positive) or you didn't.

It is also important to know whether something changed recently, so please see if something changed for you in or around the following dates:

- First week of April 2014: Yahoo! implements their DMARC policy (that also affects users who do not use Yahoo! addresses) - First week of June 2014: Apache implements a mechanism to circumvent problems caused by Yahoo! (you will see that the sender address is changed from @yahoo.com to @yahoo.com.INVALID by the list software)

Regards,
  Andrea.
