On the en-Forum we normally recommend use of the free service at www.zamzar.com
to transfer .wps files to .odt. You should transfer all old formats to a newer
format. The native format of OpenOffice is a good format for long term use;
should you wish to share files for editing with users using other software, you
can then save out to MS Office 97/200/XP format if necessary. If you only wish
to share files on a read-only basis, send them .pdf files.
