I personally do not think that "RC is an overloaded concept", but that's indeed 
off-topic here.

I am not really interested in the discussion whether Apache uses RC or VC or XC 
or something entirely different. 

But I would appreciate a message on _this_ list if new versions are made 
available for testing to the users.
