Would I need to select "..../x-trig" ?, would that correspond exactly to the 
TriG standard (http://www.w3.org/TR/trig/)?

Ps, in the standard it says:

Subtype name:
trig
Required parameters:
None
Optional parameters:
None

So application/trig not application/x-trig....

Yes, those formats are supported in the default distribution, just go to Core 
-> Import / Export and select the format
