In theory you should make initial request first to grab bkstr.com (+Akamai) cookies, but in reality curl -vvv -A "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0" -L " https://www.bkstr.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/LocateCourseMaterialsServlet?requestType=INITIAL&storeId=270405&demoKey=d" -b "JSESSIONID=" works fine for that url.
