A glance at the above URL reveals that the problem is probably due to
Steam being a 32-bit binary and I only have 64-bit libraries. I'm using
a GT630 video card with the NVidia proprietary driver (also from
RPMfusion).
Is this solvable without jumping through many hoops?

I am running Fedora amd_64 and have steam installed. Shaw may be right,
it wasn't too hard to get steam installed, I'm sure it was the 32 but
libraries..
more of a problem is the steam games that don't work because of 64 bit
OS.. not solved as easily..
My son plays steam games all the time on F19 64 bit. Adding the 32 bit
libs solved that issue.
What Steam games don't work? I have not heard of any from my son.
