Suspicious that it's full of bugs?

But how often is often?  Perhaps there's been a slew of recent updates
made available.  Perhaps Windows has got stuck in a loop trying to
update something that keeps on failing to be applied.  Perhaps it's one
of those groups of updates that needs to be done in stages, and it's
taking its time to go through each stage.
