Not true. It was on by default, but introduced in F14 -- or possibly even F13. It was proposed as a default for F14 but it wasn't mature enough. > F14/F15 are EOL and NOT suitable for production Now, this is true -- although it's worth noting that this doesn't necessarily match the practical reality of what people do.
