I could not correlate or pinpoint the error to anything specific
because it has been occurring randomly at random times. I am just
curious to know if this happens in the case of fresh clean
installations of Fedora 16 also because I have been upgrading my
system with each successive release since Fedora 13.

As of now, I have enabled the avahi daemon as suggested in the Red Hat
Bugzilla Bug 758129 referred to by Jatin.
