I am using the latest version of gnome shell (3.2.1-2) on Fedora 16 and many times a window appears with an error message saying "GConf error: Configuration server couldn't be contacted: D-BUS error: The GConf daemon is currently shutting down." The desktop session goes haywire after that, the windows on the desktop screen appear broken and their borders distort and many of the applications (like Gnome Terminal) don't start.
Has anyone experienced something similar and found a fix for the same ?
