Yes, it's been taking that long, and I eventually have to use the reset 
button because the cursor keeps blinking on and off (and the monitor 
tells me that it's losing and gaining a signal) until I do.  When I have 
time, I'll upload xorg.conf.  Remember, dmesg and /var/log/messages 
restart at every boot, and unless I go into rescue mode and move to init 
3, I have no access to them so I can't show you what they said when it 
was trying to start X.
