Hi. Blender is crashing on Fedora 43. When I start it from the terminal, I get the following:
pepebuho@pepewin:~$ blender blender: symbol lookup error: /lib64/libusd_ms.so.0.25.8: undefined symbol: _ZTIN17MaterialX_v1_39_47ElementE I searched for that and so a Fedora Discussion about Blender crashing on F44 https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/blender-fails-to-start-on-f44/194772 The solution was to downgrade the version of materialx. Nevertheless when I try to do that it looks like there is no lower version of materialx to fall back to. pepebuho@pepewin:~$ sudo dnf downgrade materialx-devel Updating and loading repositories: Repositories loaded. The lowest available version of the "materialx-devel.x86_64" package is already installed, cannot downgrade it. Is this a bug? Should I report it against blender or against materialx? -- ------------------------------ /\_/\ |O O| [email protected] ~~~~ Javier Perez ~~~~ While the night runs ~~~~ toward the day... m m Pepebuho watches from his high perch.
