When I had a DSL model my firewall DHCP and/or connected to a standard network.
The DSL ADSL/VDSL device was its own stand-alone device that managed the DSL connection and provided ethernet. What kind of ADSL/VDSL modem do you have and how does it connect to the gateway/firewall?
