As i understand it you will no longer will see new kernels in your grub menu.
I do not see a hidden menu with my grub and a have bls enabled.
Something else is likely the issue. Do you have a timeout set?
What is the contents of (i think) /etc/default/grub* ?

Hi Barry, I see new kernels in the grub menu, this has never been an
issue, what has been an issue is I don't get sub-menus if the BLSCFG
option is enabled. This has been a long standing issue. I have input the
contents of /etc/default/grub, and the only difference between getting
the sub-menus and not getting sub-menu is the disabling of BLSCFG, I
found this issue a long time ago and it has never been rectified.
