The trouble is they're all "educated" by the wisdom of idiots (what someone has said somewhere on the internet). People get things wrong, but proudly tell others what to do. What has to be done changes over time, and not everyone dates their information, or updates it, or removes it when it becomes invalid. I don't trust the artificial idiot to understand anything, it's just bad pattern recognition, as far as I'm concerned. The summaries of things I see on search engine results are like listening to an 8 year old explain something they don't understand, or one of those moronic corporate presentations by someone with a bare grasp on a subject or trying to dumb things down for their audience (to the point that it's oversimplified and wrong). About all I'd care to use it for is when it's used as a query recognition in a search engine, though you've always been able to do something like type "what is the population of Spain" into Google and get a summarised answer that's not a direct quote from a website. -- uname -rsvp Linux 3.10.0-1160.119.1.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Jun 4 14:43:51 UTC 2024 x86_64 (yes, this is the output from uname for this PC when I posted) Boilerplate: All unexpected mail to my mailbox is automatically deleted.
