Good news: fake USB drives were rare 10 years ago. Most claim much higher capacity than 14 GB. Bad news: USB flash drives have a limited lifetime. I suspect your drive has failed. You might be able to recover some data with ddrescue. You should avoid writing on the drive as it may just do more damage. -- George N. White III
