I don't know your specific requirements, but I use BorgBackup (dnf
install borgbackup). It's widely used, actively maintained, has
deduplication, encryption and compression features, can manage local
and remote backups, has hooks for special cases such as databases.
I run it from a nightly script which is actually a separate package
called borgmatic. The config file can be somewhat quirky but once
configured you can basically forget about it.
