Adding your own hostname to the loopback address *can* be a problem. You may not realise networking isn't working, because you're connecting to yourself internally instead of the interface to the outside world. Internal things that want the IP of your hostname now get told the 127.0.0.1 IP instead of the IP of your interface to the outside world. -- uname -rsvp Linux 3.10.0-1160.119.1.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Jun 4 14:43:51 UTC 2024 x86_64 Boilerplate: All unexpected mail to my mailbox is automatically deleted.
