Ran the akmods to create the file
akmods
Checking kmods exist for 6.12.4-100.fc40.x86_64            [  OK  ]

Rebooted and still get the QEMU/KVM error.

Have used VirtualBox for atleast 20 years I believe.
Haven't tired KVM, so not sure how hard or complex it is to do 
conversion.
