I notice that the two options in "Firefox Data Collection and Use" of " "Allow Firefox to send technical and interaction data to Mozilla" and "Allow Firefox to install and run studies" like to switch themselves back on from time to time. I don't check the settings that often to notice if it happens after Firefox updates, or has no obvious trigger. Though I notice they're enabled by default on a new installation (something I object to). The /let's enable everything/ attitude was one of the reasons I ditched windows over a couple of decades ago It's not supposed to send personal data without asking, but apart from trust issues with such statements, I know that programming mistakes can result in the leaking of private data.
