I did try CLI on the KDE iso, no luck.
I haven't used SSH for more than a decade, so my memory is foggy.  But, I seem 
to remember needing to configure systems to allow incoming SSH connections, 
first.

Have you tried to ssh to the "hung" machine from your other one?
