I have a Lenovo x140e upgraded with 16Gb mem (even though spec says 8Gb max) and 500GB SSD, but I am looking for something perhaps newer and perhaps won't hang at times. Requirements are: 12" format eraserhead pointing device (I hate touchpads!) VGA output (for my KVM) VGA really limits the selection, but there are cheap HDMI to VGA adapters. Affordable from ebay or such. There are often bargains on systems 2--3 years old (particularly now as large enterprises are moving to Windows 11) from the large vendors' refurbished channels. A few years ago the enterprise level laptops started to get USB-C power, typically from a (very expensive) docking station. I'm using a DeWalt USB-C power dongle to power a Dell Latitude 7480 from 2018 -- it is part of a kit that also can use a DeWalt 20v battery to supply power by USB A and C to keep cell phones going during extended power outages. The Latitude has both touchpad (with 2 buttons) and nipple pointers. -- George N. White III
