Well, with the renamed file you don't seem to have "GNOME" only. That would
be the selection for Wayland.

Best to revert that name change.


I just saw your post to disable SELinux.  I'll try that next.

OK....  But that makes things slightly more "complicated".

The disabling of selinux was to determine if that would allow you to bring up 
wayland.
But if you don't have that option, then nothing will be learned. You won't get
the sealerts since selinux was disabled.

Now, the disabling of selinux is only temporary.  But, you should be made aware 
that
the next time you boot with selinux enabled the system will automatically do a 
relable
which may take a bit of time depending on the size of your filesystems.
