Let me show you an example.

$ rpm -qV hunspell
$ symlinks /usr/share/doc/hunspell/
dangling: /usr/share/doc/hunspell/README -> README.md
# rm  /usr/share/doc/hunspell/README
$ rpm -qV hunspell
missing   d /usr/share/doc/hunspell/README
