Well, I did verify that even the FF downloaded from mozilla requires ffmpeg in order to play the video when the embedded JW Player is served by the website. Also, in the years I've used rpmfusion to add functionality I've not experienced any instability caused by it. -- The key to getting good answers is to ask good questions.
