Ooopss... Sorry, early in my AM and my brain wasn't turned on without coffee. You have mounted /nfs4exports/home on /media/nfs. This is fine, and /media/nfs will have the correct permissions. However, the permissions of the preceding directory are important as well. On the client, they are not inherited from the server. So, you need to change the permissions on /media on the client.
