Hi all,

I bought a bunch of 16G thumb drives to keep o/s ISOs on. Since most of the ISO's use 1.1G or less I'd like to reclaim the unused space.

Since the ISOs copy onto the raw drive, I don't think partitioning is an option. dd can copy data on and off but I'd like something more generally usable. Anybody think of a way to put a filesystem onto one of these things starting at e.g. 2G? If so, how could/would it be made accessible to file managers like thunar, nautilus, cli tools, etc.

Thanks to any takers,
Mike Wright
