Hi Hans, thanks for your reply. Here is what I see -
for the Kafka client v0.8.2.2, the consumer.poll method returns an object of Map<String, ConsumerRecords> while it returns ConsumerRecords from Kafka Server v0.10.1.1. that is why Kafka client v0.8.2.2 now does not work with my Kafka Kafka Server v0.10.1.1. Were you saying that you have a way to change the returned format for consumer.poll for v0.8.2.2? If yes, pls advice how I could do it. regarding Deserializer, I use the following from kafka-clients-0.8.2.2.jar. How to change it? props.put("key.deserializer","org.apache.kafka.common.serialization.StringDeserializer"); props.put("value.deserializer","org.apache.kafka.common.serialization.StringDeserializer"); thanks a lot.
